Jeb Bush declares “I’m running for president in 2016”

Oops_Jeb_Bush_accidentally_2016_announcementIt looks to be a slip of the tongue but speaking to reporters in Nevada the undeclared 2016 likely presidential candidate and Republican frontrunner Jeb Bush said he’s running for president. He then tried to take it back.

“I’m running for president in 2016, and the focus is going to be about how we – if I run – how do you sustain high economic growth, where more people have a chance at earned success.”

Jeb Bush is legally allowed to accept and hoard hoards of cash without having to obey the federal law that allows a candidate to accept a maximum of $2700 from donors by NOT declaring.

“Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush is taking things to an entirely new level: putting off his official entry into the 2016 race so he can raise vast sums for a super PAC that’s supposed to be entirely independent of his all-but-certain campaign,” MSNBC reports.

Bush is raising unlimited funds for his Right to Rise super PAC. Super PACs can accept unlimited donations from wealthy individuals and from corporations. The only rule: they must operate independently of a candidate’s official campaign operation. The word ‘candidate’ is key. Since Bush isn’t yet an announced candidate, he is essentially exploiting a loophole in the law and soliciting for his own super PAC. If he did officially toss his hat into the ring. It’s high time he starts obeying the law or be fined.
