How To Stream ‘Barbie’ Blockbuster Movie at Home

Still haven’t seen the blockbuster that is Barbie? After breaking out of movie land and into home theaters in September, Greta Gerwig’s record-breaking film is finally streaming online.

Barbie is now streaming on Max and on other video-on-demand platforms that offer the Max channel, including DirecTV Stream (which offers Max free for the first two months), Hulu and Prime Video.

The pink wave was stronger than anticipated as Barbie raked in a massive $155 million during its opening weekend in North America.

The Greta Gerwig-directed film, starring Margo Robbie and Ryan Gosling, follows the beloved doll on a journey to the real world. Barbie secured the biggest opening of the year, sailing past The Super Mario Bros. Movie and making history as the biggest box office opening for a female director.

Barbie mania even helped push Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer to a whopping $80 million debut due in part to moviegoers opting for the #Barbenheimer double feature.

‘Barbie’ Movie on Prime Video $24.99 (available now)

When will the Barbie movie land on streaming platforms?

Update: you can now stream it on Max. Max could be merging with Paramount+ so you could opt in for a free month of Paramount+ and see how you like their streaming while waiting on the deal to go through.

Based off other Warner Bros. blockbusters like Top Gun: Maverick, audiences might have to wait a few months before Barbie makes its digital debut.

Although Warner Bros. has not yet announced a digital release date for Barbie, you can pre-order the movie now, so that you can watch it online as soon as it drops. Barbie is available for pre-order on Prime Video ($24.99), iTunes and other streaming platforms.

Want to watch Barbie on the big screen? This AMC ticket promo lets you buy a ticket to the Barbie movie at discount rated of $11.99, which isn’t bad, considering an AMC movie ticket for adults can cost as much as $15-$25.
The AMC Black Ticket is valid for Barbie and any other 2D movie, at any participating AMC Theatres in Los Angeles on any day, at any time.

“Barbie” will be available to stream on Max (formerly HBO Max). Max is owned by Warner Bros. Discovery, which released “Barbie”. A Max subscription with ads costs $9.99/month and $99.99/year, while an ad-free subscription starts at $15.99/month and $149.99.

“Barbie” will likely be available to purchase on digital first following its theatrical release window. This includes platforms like Amazon Prime Video, Vudu, and iTunes. “Barbie” is available for pre-order now.

“Barbie” will likely hit digital on-demand in the first week of September, around 46 days after its theatrical release. “Barbie” streams on Max as early as the first week of October, around 76 days after opening in theaters.
