First Prefab House Made Entirely Of ‘Hemp Concrete’

Hemp and can finally be used to build liveable homes.

Dun Agro being a Dutch construction company has decided to focus on hempcrete aka ‘hemp concrete’ due to hemp’s durable nature which allows it to be used to make anything from construction material, food, clothing to even biofuel. It’s so much better than alternatives such as corn.

Dun Agro’s hempcrete is the combination of water, hemp fibers and glue, which is forced together inside a mold creating pre-fabricated sections for construction, with all the said there is no way to get a drug high from hemp it is completely safe for adults, children and pets all the same.

November 30th, 2018 was a very important date as Dun Agro put the Hemp house it created on display. Due to the speed of construction, a second house has already been completed with plans to continue this trend.

Dun Agro estimates it can build 500 hempcrete houses a year if the Dutch output of Hemp stays the same if demand increases they can easily scale.

Surprisingly Dun Agro isn’t the first one to try this construction style, but it is the first one to be successful.

Dun Agro’s hempcrete construction’s biggest benefit is the CO2 the Hemp sucks out of the atmosphere as hemp takes on over thirteen thousand kilos of CO2 during its growth which remains in the hempcrete for its entire constitution life.

Farmers love growing hemp for a bonus income and as this incredible technology gets implemented it could help combat climate change.
